Dr. Robert Panzer has been straightening teeth for the families in Great Neck and the surrounding communities for the past 25 years. He completed the New York University (NYU) Combined Degree Program in Dental Education with Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. Dr. Panzer graduated in 1984, receiving the Dr. Samuel Hess Award for outstanding scholarship and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. He completed his post-graduate education orthodontics at NYU in 1986. He was presented with the Theodore L. Jerrold Memorial Award "Who through clinical proficiency, clarity of thought, concern for patients’ welfare and the desire to better our profession most exemplifies the true essence of an orthodontist."

For six years Dr. Panzer was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthodontics in the NYU College of Dentistry followed by the position of Director of Orthodontics at Nassau University Medical Center for 15 years.

Dr. Panzer is a long term member of the Nassau County Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the New York State Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He keeps up to date with the latest in orthodontic and dental trends and technologies by attending ongoing continuing education seminars.

Dr. Panzer is currently the Vice-President for Communications and Membership at Temple Israel of Great Neck. He is active in the synagogue's participation in Midnight Run, an organization that collects and distributes food, clothing, and toiletries to the homeless population of Manhattan, and has personally mentored other groups. Dr. Panzer is a member of the Men's Club and participates in leading parts of Shabbat services. As a member of the Pastoral Committee Dr. Panzer is on call to lead shiva minyans (a service) for those in mourning. He holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate.

Dr. Panzer and his wife Ofra have four children, Aviva, Sam, Tamar and Ari. Ofra graduated from New York University in 1982 with a B.S. in Nursing. The Panzer family has resided in Great Neck for more than twenty years.
